Experiment1: Final 3D model

I have tried many times to upload this model, also tried to upload the model on several other computers, but the model still would lose some pieces in ware house if we rotate it around, but if we download it and open, it won't have this problem.

Very sorry about this.

Experiment1 Final Submission

The two I chose are the Rolex and Christian Benner Custom. I designed this building, the up level is for the Rolex, which looks like a diamond from outside, as we know that the Rolex is as precious as diamond. The underground level is for the Christian Benner Custom. The around landscape makes the building locates on a small  island in the lake ( There are boats in the lake !! ) . The whole building has a kind of modernism style, also likes looks the building of future, which just like the characteristics of my two clients, Rolex record the time for future, and Christian Benner use a special clothing style lead us to future.

Three keywords for Rolex are Memory, Travel, Luxurious.
Three keywords for Christian Benner Custom are Decoration, Freeze, Radical.

This is a photo of the building, the top level is for Rolex studio, middle level are the display level, and the underground level is for the Christian Benner studio.

This is a photo of the building and around landscape, I chose white color as the landscape color, which I think is much more suitable for the transparency  materials. Meantime, could let you get a feeling of ice mountain!!

This is a photo of the middle level and top level. I hided the walls which could see the inside more clearly.

White heaven beach

This is a photo of the White heaven beach in Queensland. I went to the Hamilton Island for vacation with my family last month, we saw the Great Barrier Reef and also did snorkeling there, I need to say the whole place is awesome! Although is so hot and above 40 degrees every day. I shot this photo on the helicopter, so the sky view perfectly shows how beautiful the White heaven beach is! Haha, if u guys have spare time, do not forget this place to travel!

A Great Piece of Architecture

This is the centre Georges Pompidou in Paris which  designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano; British architect Richard Rogers; and Italian architect Gianfranco Franchini, assisted by Ove Arup & Partners. The project was awarded to this team in an architectural design competition, whose results were announced in 1971. It was the first time in France that international architects were allowed to participate. World renowned architects Oscar NiemeyerJean ProuvĂ© and Philip Johnson made up the jury which would select one design out of the 681 entries. And the architectural style of this building  is High-tech, It's no doubt to say this architecture is one of the most famous building in worldwide.

My creative work before coming to 1101 course

This is a designer board which I did in my foundation year, this board is created on Indesign and shows the features and experience of a designer named Ingo Maurer.  Ingo Maurer is a German designer who born on 12th May 1932, and he could be seen as the best light designer in the world. He keeps exploring the intelligence of light so he has been called as the poet of light. Meantime, he prefers to use everyday objects as materials and combines rational technology with his inspiration. His works has influenced a generation of designers and have been presented in a series of exhibitions.

For this board, I chose an image of his Zettel'z 5 product as a background, because this work only used Stainless steel, heat-resistant satin-frosted glass and Japanese paper as materials which perfectly matches his philosophy of using everyday objects or materials to create a luminous body. In addition, Ingo Maurer has been known as a poet a light who keeps exploring the intelligence of light, so I chose some images of his famous work “ Birdie ” which is based on the wings decoration and let the bulbs look like real birds. Then I grouped them around the Zettel'z 5 product to create a feeling like birds have been attracted by the central light and are flying around it. This also shows his philosophy of the light coming from nature so it should go back to nature. Furthermore, I set a Gradient on the right side of the board which create an atmosphere of a ray of light illuminating the board. When considering the typography, I chose a handwriting type face “ Journal ” to show his name as a title because this could link to the text which is in the background image of the Zettel'z 5 product. I also set 16 pt for the text, gave them a rectangle shape and located them in the left corner of board to continue the vertical feelings from the background image.
Haha, hope u guys enjoy it!
